RELEASE DAY IS IN TWO DAYS! It’s been a long time coming and I’m beyond excited.
CONTINUE READING: It’s Almost Here…I’m a self-published author, so I don’t have the advantage of a publishing house marketing machine to help me sell books. Luckily, I came across this handy list just this week:

Just kidding. Sort of. But there is a real list of things you can do to help!
Buy a Book! Many of you have bought copies already and I can’t thank you enough. The paper book releases Tuesday (September 27), but the ebook is available NOW (in the interest of full disclosure, I make more money from the ebook). I’ve updated the Books page with buttons that link to the book on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, but you can also order it from your local independent bookseller using the title or ISBN number (which is also on the Books page).
Share, share, SHARE! Share links in your social media platforms of choice: link to the book directly, to my Books page, to this blog, whatever you want!
Write a review. I mean, wait until you’ve actually read the book before you write your review, but then add one to the book page wherever you bought it, or to Goodreads. I appreciate all your reviews, good or bad, but please know I’ve made a conscious decision not to read any of them for my own mental health. If you have positive feedback to share with me, you can use the Contact page on this website, or using any other method you have to reach me. PLEASE NOTE: Do NOT notify your bookseller (particularly Amazon) if you find typos or other errors. This can cause a real problem for self-published authors. Please let me know of any egregious errors using the Contact page, though after all the editing and proofreading by me and multiple readers, any typos or errors that remain probably deserve to be there.
Recommend the book to your book club. If your club reads my book, I’m happy to attend a local meeting in person or an out-of-town meeting via Zoom. Again, use that contact page, or get in touch with me directly.
That’s all I’ve got for now. If you have other ideas, let me know in the comments and maybe I’ll include them in another post.
And thank you all for your support. A writer is nothing without readers, and I’m proud to have each of you as mine.

Banned Books Week got away from me this year; it ended yesterday. I don’t have much to add to the post I wrote last year, except–as always–to encourage you to fight against censorship in any way that makes sense to you. And do what makes you happy.
Congratulations!
